The first International Beach Games in Maldives Inaugrated by Jayasuriya

The MP of the Srilankan Parliament and One of worlds criket legend Sanath Teran Jayasuriya inagurated the First ever International Beach Games to be held in Maldives this September. The ceremony held in Male Sports Complex last night Jayasuria was accompanied by The vice President of Maldives Dr Mohamed Waheedh Hassan  and Sports Minister Hassan Latheef.

This is the first time that Maldives will host such a big international Beach Games in history. The nine sports to be included in the Games are Beach Soccer, Beach Volley Ball, Beach Kabbahdi, Beach Cricket, Taethalon, Open water swimming, Beach Body Building, Surfing and Rowing.

Sources reports that total of 450 participants will participate in the event and total of 500 Officials will involve in Arrangements and other duties.
