“Be Hungry. Be foolish”- Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple and its revolutionary products is an inspiration for me. Hearing about his death from a status of Facebook friend was shocking and not so believable at first but as time passed i came to know that its the truth. As the biggest truth everyone will die.

Though he was born out of a marriage and gave up for adoption at birth and dropped from the college after 6 months, he changed the world. He invented devices millions of people use everyday. He left footsteps which will not be wiped from the face of earth as said by his competitor and opponent  Bill Gates.

Indeed he will be remembered for his visionary, creativity and courage. The title of this post “stay hungry. stay foolish” is one of my favorite quote by Steve Jobs. I send my sincere condolences and heartfelt gratitude to the Family, friends, coworkers and everyone who takes Steve as Inspiration.

Maldivian Team humiliated in Iran’s football forums

The Maldives might be small regard to the population and Size but in Football, Maldives is one of the powers in south asia. Maldives won the regions championship once. And also maintained its status at constant level in FIFA ranking which is the highest in South Asia. Tied with South Korea and lost 1-0 margin with China. Mentioning all the positive statistics will even be a challenge.

But for one more Maldivian Star Ali Ashfaq is nominated as top players in Asia in 2009.

These are facts but Iran which is much more stronger opponent then Maldives, Which scored the most goals against Maldives in early days of Maldives football history.

Things has changed, Maldives even have scored goal against iran by Addey.

But while going through some of the Irans football forum websites the only thing i saw was disrespect against Maldives, Just dream iranian football fans, score 17 goals or high margin win against Maldives in dreams. It is nearly impossible unless Maldivian footballers give their goal free to score.

I will laugh if iran tie against Maldives and eventually lose their worldcup dream.

Football is not a war, it is a beautiful game with 11 players against 11 in pitch. And small teams are giving surprises to bigger ones.

We just have to respect others, the score is 0-0 unless match is played.

Draw in India VS Maldives friendly

FIFA Registered international friendly between Maldives and India ended with 1-1 draw. First goal of the match was seen from Sunil Chetri of India while Muhuthar Naseer leveled before the Half time. Maldives dominated the Game and increased its attack when south asias best attacking player Ashfaq joined the Game. Maldives couch Crusiani praised the Midfielder of Maldivian Side Mohamed Arif(bakaa) as the super man of the match and he was satisfied with the result.

For one Big Heart world record attempt failed

An attempt to break the largest human arranged heart world record to raise awareness on congenital heart disease failed tonight. The world record attempted to break the record established in mexico was failed due to low turn out of people. But tiny heart of the maldives reports the attempt was succesful as it raised awareness for the cause. Its reported that every 1 child born among 100 suffer from congenital heart disease. Tiny hearts of the Maldives an NGO dedicated to children with congenital heart disease is doing excellent works to raise the awareness on the disease and fundraise for surgery.

A cold day in Bangkok

It has been nearly a month since i came to bangkok. And this is the second day i felt coldest since i came here. Locals say that normally its no common to experiance such cold days because bangkok experiances its winter normally on september. And these days should be the biggining of the hotest days for bangkok. The temprature here is now 17 degree celcius. As a person who normally experiances warmer temprature between 25-32 degrees back in home Maldives its pretty cold for me.

The first International Beach Games in Maldives Inaugrated by Jayasuriya

The MP of the Srilankan Parliament and One of worlds criket legend Sanath Teran Jayasuriya inagurated the First ever International Beach Games to be held in Maldives this September. The ceremony held in Male Sports Complex last night Jayasuria was accompanied by The vice President of Maldives Dr Mohamed Waheedh Hassan  and Sports Minister Hassan Latheef.

This is the first time that Maldives will host such a big international Beach Games in history. The nine sports to be included in the Games are Beach Soccer, Beach Volley Ball, Beach Kabbahdi, Beach Cricket, Taethalon, Open water swimming, Beach Body Building, Surfing and Rowing.

Sources reports that total of 450 participants will participate in the event and total of 500 Officials will involve in Arrangements and other duties.

First Local Council Election Underway in Maldives

The first local council Election is underway in the Maldives. The ballot casting started 9 am in the Maldives. Total of 2754 candidates are running for the 1091 seats to be elected, which includes 16 seats for two city elections(Male and Addu city council), 132 seats for Atoll councils(19 Atoll councils) and 942 seats for 188 island councils(188 island council). This is the biggest election ever in the Maldives and very important step in its democratic governance. Previously the islands and Atolls were governed and administrated by the people elected by the government. Among the 2754 candidates 33.48% are candidates from the governing party MDP(Maldivian Democratic Party), 32.03% are from the Rival DRP(Dhivehi Rahyithunge Party, 1.89% represent Adhaalath Party, 1.67% represent Jumhoory Party, 0.48% represent Gaumee Ihthihaadh, 0.29% represent Dhivehi Qaumy Party, 0.09% represent Peoples Allaince and Remaining 29.92% are represented by the Independent Candidates. As the ballots are casted and the votes are being counted many problems are reported to the Maldives Elections Complains Bieuro. The observers from the Common Wealth, United Nations and Many local observers are observing the Election.
